Digitisation – Nexity
Script&Go had the opportunity to interview a professional solution development director at French real estate firm Nexity on their digitisation. The Nexity director spoke of their use of Script&Go’s construction management software, BatiScript. She explained how it has facilitated the digitisation of their project management processes.
Construction management software clearly benefits directors who need to manage projects and accompany the deployment of construction technology solutions. Johan Thetiot, Script&Go’s Digital Marketing Manager approached Anne Pepinot, in charge of the development of professional solutions at Nexity to answer some questions on the their use of BatiScript. Highlights from this conversation are reported here.
Nexity interview highlights
Anne explained that while it is “mainly used by our project managers during the construction phase, BatiScript allows us to solve a major problem : which is to improve construction defect management.”
She explained that Nexity had two important needs :
- To standardise and format meeting reports to have a better understanding of the information sent by different stakeholders
- To have a better overview of construction progress through the provision of a digital archive showing the progress of different project managers on site.
She went on to say that their project managers appreciated being able to have drawings available at anytime in the field, and to reduce data entry time for meeting reports or defect management.
Explaining that in order to exchange information with our external suppliers, she said that everything is managed through BatiScript,we edit our PDF report and send it by email to the right stakeholder.
Script&Go and Nexity collaboration
Anne elaborated that “Script&Go and Nexity collaborated hand in hand in the development of BatiScript software. What’s more, I’ve been charged to deliver information acquired from site and the professional habits that Script&Go develops a software solution for closely relate to the needs of the field.”
Script&Go was involved in training the first users in Nexity and since then each new collaborator benefits from internal training by those already initiated in the use of the software. The transmission of good practice is a key part in the training of a defect management solution such as BatiScript.
Anne went on to say that “BatiScript is a really professional tool at Nexity. Used nationally, more than 180 in-house architects use the BatiScript software for defect management in their daily (defect survey) and weekly (site meeting report) work. More than 100 construction sites have already been created by our project managers !”
Ending by saying that if she had to advise another organisation that wants to digitise, she would say “choose BatiScript !” and elaborated that Script&Go’s ‘start up’ format, means participants are close to the client. The fact they listen, are in constant collaboration and able to carry out quick developments, completely seduced us she said. “At Script&Go it is the tool that adapts to the habits of the trade and not the opposite !”
BatiScript can be installed on a Windows PC and used on multi-OS devices, smartphones and tablets by construction management teams, in the office or on site as needed.
[*Update : BatiScript 1.17 is now available !]
